Tanzania Safari

Wildlife Game Drives offer an immersive experience into the vast savanna grasslands, allowing participants to observe Africa’s diverse wildlife from the comfort of a 4×4 safari vehicle. These excursions are thoughtfully planned to coincide with optimal wildlife sightings, with interactive drives lasting up to three hours, conducted during the serene ambiance of sunrise and sunset.

At Free Bird Wildlife Expeditions, game drives are strategically scheduled during the early mornings, late afternoons, or evenings, capitalizing on the cooler temperatures when wildlife activity peaks. Our experienced safari guides provide insightful commentary on savanna life and share their extensive knowledge of African wildlife throughout the journey.

An early morning game drive commences with a prompt wake-up call, followed by breakfast at 6 am or head out with a picnic breakfast. Participants embark on a safari adventure at sunrise, the prime time for wildlife spotting, as animals are highly active during the cooler hours. After approximately three to four hours, guests may choose to return to their camp or lodge for a late breakfast, or enjoy a bush breakfast amidst the plains before the heat intensifies.

Following lunch and leisure time, guests can relax or utilize amenities such as outdoor pools until the late afternoon, when another game drive awaits. The evening game drive offers an opportunity to witness the captivating drama of African wildlife, as predators emerge from their daytime repose, while prey species become more vigilant. Upon returning before nightfall, guests can freshen up, enjoy pre-dinner drinks, and storytelling around the campfire before indulging in dinner.
